"At a certain part in your life, probably when too much of it has gone by, you will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself: but I am this person. And in that statement, that correction, there will be a kind of love."

Happy Mother's Day

"Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. There are many virtuous and capable woman in the world, but you surpass them all!"
-Proverbs 31:28-29

My mother has been doing the "mom-thing" most of her life. Being the oldest girl of 7 children, she always helped to take care of her siblings. She was the mother of 2 by age 20 and eventually became a single mom - raising her boys single-handedly until she met my dad. Then when my brothers were teenagers, she started all over again with 2 more children - including me! Now that all of her kids are grown up, she is helping to raise her 5 granddaughters. She is a wonderful mother (and Nanny) and basically makes our world go round. What would we do without her!?
Happy Mothers Day, Mom!
